As you’ll know if you’ve read any of my blogs these last few weeks, you’ll know I’m taking various multivitamins in the hope that a healthy body will help lead me to a healthy mind.
On of the things that I’m taking is Vitamin D, this is something that the body will normally produce from skin exposure to the sun. However, my shins are still smarting from the burning a few days ago, well itching, am expected peeling to start any day now. And I’m not a great sun lover anyway, so taking Vitamin D supplements makes sense. Remember that vitamin absorption works best in combination – e.g. calcium is absorbed better in the presence of Vitamin D.
Today I came across this article from Vitamin D advice for everyone: coronavirus. It’s well worth a read (and not too long).
Remember there is not evidence that this will reduce the risk of coronavirus, but it will assist with general immunity and well being.
For me, this is just a reinforcement that taking supplements is the right thing to do. I don’t think it make my immune system superhuman, I’m as vulnerable as anyone to coronavirus, but it can’t hurt to have the healthiest immune system I can.

As for today. Is going okay. Watched “Aliens” with hubby and daughter last night – on Alien Day. Who knew that was even a thing? Well apparently a lot of people are aren’t me. Turns out that they take it from the planet LV-426 so the day is April 26th. Odd coincidence there.
Right now I have to go, I’m trying to concentrate on writing my 5th steampunk novel and concentration is not proving easy today.
